Why does the single screw extruder suddenly stop automatically during the extrusion process? What are the causes and how to solve the problem?


The reasons for the sudden automatic shutdown during the extrusion process may include: 

① The cooling fan has stopped rotating. 
② Exceeding the limit of melt pressure; 
③ The governor has experienced faults such as overcurrent, overload, phase loss, undervoltage and overheating. 
④ The lubricating oil pump has stopped working. 
⑤ Excessive or insufficient oil pressure of the lubricating oil pump. 


The main solutions are as follows:
① Inspect the fan and restart it; 
② Check the upper limit value of melt pressure; 
③ Clean or replace the filter screen of the machine head; 
④ Check whether the temperature at the machine head is too low; 
⑤ Clean the flow channels; 
⑥ Check whether the amount of added materials is excessive and whether the particles of the materials are too large. 


⑦ Check whether there are any hard foreign objects in the machine barrel. 
⑧ Check whether the temperature of the host is too low, etc. 

⑨ Inspect the lubricating oil pump and the oil pressure.
